Operated by Twitch Interactive, a subsidiary of Amazon, Twitch was the 37th most-visited website globally as of October 2023. Approximately 20.26% of its traffic comes from the United States, with Germany at 7.08% and South Korea at 5.49%.

Twitch serves as a platform for a variety of content, including esports tournaments, personal streams by individual players, and gaming-related talk shows. Many channels also feature live speedrunning. The Twitch homepage showcases games based on viewership statistics. As of June 2018, some of the most popular games streamed on Twitch include Fortnite, Grand Theft Auto V, League of Legends, Dota 2, PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, Hearthstone, Overwatch, and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, with a combined total of over 356 million hours watched.
